Essential Qualification
Assistant Librarian:- Bachelor of Library & Information Science (B.Lib & I.Sc) or Master of Library and Information Science (M.Lib & I.Sc) from any recognized University. In case of candidates having degree of bachelor Library and information Science (B.Lib & I.Sc) Certificate or Diploma in Computer shall be essential. Post Graduate Teacher:- The minimum educational and Professional Qualification shall be required for the post of Post Graduate Teacher as follows. MA/M.Sc/M.Com with 50% marks in relevant subject with B.T/B.Ed degree from any recognized University.

Age Limit (As on 01st January, 2016)
Assistant Librarian Posts:- Maximum 38 years of age on 01st January, 2016. However upper age limit may be relaxed for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and other category of candidates as per prevailing Government Rules. PGT Posts:- 21 years to 38 years as on 01-01-2016 candidates belongings to Schedule Caste and Scheduled Tribes will get relaxation of age up to 5 years as per the Assam Scheduled Caste and Schedule Tribe (Reservation of Vacancies in Services and Posts) Amendment) Act 2012.
